Get Rid Of Wrinkles And Regenerate Cells With This Homemade Lotion

Frankincense essential oil is often referred to as the “King of Oils,” and for a very good reason! Its potent anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties make it an extremely effective natural remedy, the reason why science has started exploring its potential which traditional folk medicine has been aware of for centuries.

As a matter of fact, ancient cultures have widely used frankincense oil. In Babylon, about 60,000 pounds of frankincense resin was burned every year for its smell and important role in rituals. Then, we see the Magi bringing frankincense, myrrh, and gold to the baby Jesus. Today, apart from being a cheap and fragrant gift, frankincense is used as a cure-all and a natural remedy with a wide plethora of well-documented benefits.

From boosting immunity, preventing oral issues like cavities and toothache, relieving mood swings and nausea to improving digestion and soothing cold, it seems like frankincense has indeed a lot to offer. However, probably its most outstanding benefit is a result of its anti-cancer properties which help mitigate various kinds of cancerous cells.

According to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center,
“Beta-elemene is a compound found in plants such as celery, mint, and in many others used in traditional medicine. Although the pure form is not used as dietary supplement, some cancer patients use herbs high in beta-element as treatment. Beta-elements was shown to prevent growth of cancer cells in laboratory cells by different mechanisms. A few poorly designed studies done in humans showed that it may improve quality of life in cancer patients. It is unclear if raw herbs containing beta-elements have the same effects in humans. More research is needed.”

This article focuses on frankincense`s astringent properties and ability to tone and lift the skin,  remove the tiny wrinkles around the eyes, and swap old cells for new, healthy ones.  These problems are common signs of aging, and are considered as normal part of this process.  However, the appearance of wrinkles can be delayed, and for this purpose people use various lotions which often cost a little fortune.  Another problem with conventional lotions is the fact that they contain numerous ingredients which are questionable and potentially toxic. Here are some of them:
  • Benzyl alcohol ( likely carcinogenic)
  • Fragrance or “parfum” (contain hormone-disrupting phthalates)
PEG-100 stearate (often contaminated with 1,4-dioxane, which has high rates of carcinogenesis)
Instead of purchasing a conventional product, try to make your own homemade lotion using healthy ingredients like myrrh and frankincense oil.  The first one demonstrated potent antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and healing properties while the latter stimulates cell regeneration,  treats dry skin, and reduces the appearance of wrinkles, scars, and stretch marks.
