How to Get Rid of Pores on Face

Large pores are so common that they are even considered as something normal and widely accepted as such. However, it doesn’t mean that you need to adhere to the condition, as there are various things that can help you solve this issue.

Just as women, men also have to deal with blackheads at a certain point in their lives. The blackheads often referred to as comedo, are basically openings in the skin containing black debris that covers the pores. As a matter of fact, comedo is widened hair follicle filled with debris, such as bacteria, oil, and keratin.

The sebum lubricates both hair and skin and it is released through the pores. In some cases, it is blocked and unable to leave the pores. As a result, bacteria accumulate in the pores themselves. The main cause for the occurrence of blackheads is the overproduction of oil in the skin.

However, there is no need to worry, as the following tips can help you shrink your pores.

1. Don’t Keep Your Makeup on Overnight
You should never leave your makeup on overnight as it clogs pores and makes the skin oily. This results in large pores and blemishes.

2. Clay Mask
It is recommended to use clay masks with kaoline and bentonite clay. These masks are very effective in reducing the pores, as they strip water and oil from the skin.

3. Natural Masks
You will need two eggs, four tablespoons of sugar, and few drops of acidic liquid. Mix the ingredients and apply the mask on your face. Let it work for fifteen minutes and then rinse with cold water.

4. Skin Exfoliation
This is the simplest method: Just apply a cleanser on your face and scrub using a gritty scrub.

5. Water
Replacing the carbonated drinks with plain water will help you significantly reduce the size of your pores. Unlike the carbonated drinks, water removes toxins from the body.

6. Oil-Free Cleanser
Oil-free cleansers remove makeup and dirt and don’t affect the natural moisture of the skin. It is recommended to rinse with cold water, as it has the ability to shrink the pores.

7. Skin Toners
Skin toners are highly recommended because they eliminate oil and shine as well as prevent clogged pores and breakouts.

8. Astringents
Just as the above-mentioned toners, astringents are very effective and even much potent, as they are alcohol-based. However, they are recommended for people with oily skin and highly tolerant only! Skin tones even out skin. These eliminate oil and shine, prevent breakouts and clogged pores.

9. Steam

Ingredients:
  • hot water
  • lemon juice
  • ice cubes
  • washcloth
Take a large container and fill it with hot water. Hold your face over it for 3-5 minutes. Then, apply the lemon juice on the washcloth and dab it on the face. Rinse well. Finally, perform a gentle massage by using the ice cubes. Use all of the above-mentioned methods (steam, ice cold massage, lemon juice treatment). You will be able to see for yourself as your pores are shrinking in no time.

10. Vitamin C
This nutrient is known to stimulate the production of elastin and collagen.
